INVITATION TO ALL NGO’S BASED IN THE UK
The High Commissioner, H.E. Mwanaidi Sinare Maajar cordially invites all the UK based Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and charity organizations operating in Tanzania to a meeting with the Commissioner General of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Mr. Harry M. Kitillya and the Commissioner for Customs Mr. Kisaka at Sattavis Patidar Center, Forty Avenue J/W The Avenue, Wembley Park, Middlesex HA9 9PE (London, United Kingdom) on Saturday, the 27th March 2010 at 11.00Hrs for 11.30Hrs.
The Commissioner for Customs and Excise will make a presentation in relation to imports by NGO’s and the relevant Customs Clearance procedures as well as on issues concerning tax exemption for charitable goods. There will be a questions and answer session at the end of the presentation. This meeting is necessary in view of complaints received by this Mission on problems encountered by NGO’s as they try to clear goods through Customs in Tanzania.
